Interference suppression

Automatic suppression of Electrical and magnetic interference

Electrostatic: 15 mA rms of interference current into any lead or cable with no loss of measurement accuracy. Applicable to a maximum ratio of interference current to specimen current of 20:1.

Electromagnetic: 500 μT, at 50 Hz in any direction

 

The M4100 uses a patented technique called Line Frequency Modulation, in which the measurement is made at a frequency above and below the system

frequency. This method eliminates the effect of varying electrostatic interference. As a result, you get highly accurate and repeatable measurements, and even a

small change in the measurement can be used reliably for diagnostic purposes.

TECHNICAL AND SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
 

The test shall be capable of automatically carrying out following pre-commissioning field test;
a)      Capacitance and dielectric losses of electrical insulation in medium and high voltage power system equipment such as          Cables,Bushings,insulators circuit breakers transmission and distribution transformers CT’s, PT’s Capacitors and lightening arrestors

b)      The test is intended to reveal any physical change that might have occurred to insulation medium of the power apparatus

c)      Dissipation factor (Tangent Delta)/power factor test, to confirm the insulation integrity and quality of the electrical plant

d)     Leakage reactance / short circuit impendence to evaluate winding deformation in medium and high voltage transformers

e)     On-load tap changes condition (optional)

f)      Single phase excitation current
